The Constitution was a written by the people, for the people. It wasn't written to allow or limit the people, it was written to limit the government. This idea seems to fade with each passing decade. Rather than telling our elected officials what solutions we want, we look to them to tell us. This growing trend is slowly transferring the power from the people to an ever growing government body.
